Love and Illusion

Sometimes, we think we are in love, but was it truly love, or just the idea of it? It happens that we fall not for a person, but for what they represent, for the image we have built in our minds. We project our desires, our wounds, our hopes onto someone who, in reality, may not truly be right for us. We idealize, we turn a blind eye to what disturbs us, we cling to illusions. And then one day, the bubble bursts. We realize that what we thought was eternal love was merely a mirage fueled by our own expectations. Was it really him, really her, or just the reflection of what we desperately sought to fill within ourselves? And what if true love was not the one that blinds us, but the one that finally allows us to see?
